// Artist: Caterina Leone

Caterina Leone’s artworks embrace the traditional drawing technique of silverpoint. In doing so she has been able to create works that transform, redeem and challenge the self, society and notions of gender. The use of art as a mechanism to challenge, is inspired by her grandfather who used art as a means to survive the POW camps in Germany during WWII. Leone is currently located in Melbourne, and has been featured in numerous online and print publications such as Synaethesia Magazine in April 2018. Leone’s work can be seen in many group and solo shows around Australia.
