Before moving to Battambag, Australian artist Morrison Polkinghorne trained as a weaver and tassel maker. Polkinghorne now explores the concept of ‘pointillism’, using the lotus flower as both theme and material. His paintings are conceived by making ink from the lotus stem and distilling the flowers’ petal.
