Marilou Palazon

"I have had a lot of personal loss in the recent years particularly those who were very close to me. When people have passed I found my gravity to the earth loosening. Material and concrete understanding of the world became uncertain and less important. I found myself constantly looking up at the sky and clouds. Clouds like the petals of the large florals I do create incredible forms that can be interpreted in so many ways. Their abstract and amorphous shapes point towards a momentary and ephemeral existence. I look up at the sky always in wonderment - somehow it gives me a lightness of being, a sense of another place. Of hope."
